Asphalt Laborer
Founded in 1973, R.C. PAVING, INC (RCP) – a regional paving and concrete contractor, has immediate openings for Asphalt Laborer who works under direct supervision of a Foreman of our asphalt division.
Responsibilities:
- General laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, patching, or prep crews.
- Required ability to shovel, rake, and handle other small tools.
- Equipment cleanup as needed.
- May be called upon to run small power tools.
- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, and movement of materials.
- Assist in placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
- Perform other duties assigned.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must be 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Must be able to pass drug screen, background investigation, physical, and required pre-employment exams.
- Must be able to gain approved access to US Federal Government Properties.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including: heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Be willing to work nights and weekends if necessary.
- Heavy lifting (up to 80lbs is required).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Ability to quickly bend, stretch, or reach out with one's body, arms, and/or legs.
- Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
