Concrete Laborer
Founded in 1973, R.C. Paving, INC (RCP) - a regional paving and concrete contractor, has immediate openings for Concrete Laborers, who will work under direct supervision of a Foreman of our concrete division.
Responsibilities
- Fill and level surface area with sub-grade material to prepare work area for concrete pour.
- Assemble and set formwork that holds concrete to required pitch and depth, and aligns forms.
- Place reinforcement steel materials to ensure concrete reinforcement meets specifications.
- Place concrete in the casting and spreading of concrete into forms or onto surfaces.
- Finish freshly poured concrete, using specialized tools to level and smooth the surface.
- Use powered or hand trowels to finish concrete to required lines and grades.
- Check the line and grade of concrete finishing work to ensure specifications are met.
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface.
Qualifications
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Must be able to pass drug screen, background investigation, physical, and required pre-employment exams.
- Must be able to gain approved access to US Federal Government Properties.
- Heavy lifting (up to 80lbs is required).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Ability to quickly bend, stretch, or reach out with one's body, arms, and/or legs.
- Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
